Heidi Grot, 4th dan, has been practicing Aikido since 1985 and has been fascinated by its power and its ability to connect people and lead them to a fuller life and peaceful coexistence. For more than 30 years, Heidi has been a follower of Franck Noel Shihan, a direct student of Yamaguchi Sensei and his idea of Aikido as a way of communication and perfecting the budo principles. In addition, in the last 10 years, Yamashima Shihan has become another important teacher for Heidi, redefining her energetic worldview and opening up unimagined inner power sources. Heidi has been fascinated by the idea of Kimusubi – the inner connection and contact to people. Heidi is the chief instructor at Kranich Dojo-Kreuzberg in Berlin, Germany.
